Steel wire ropes should be galvanized. Preferably the rope is NOT greased, or the grease should be dry so it doesn’t stick to the hand oil from threading shouldn’t be removed, or oil should be applied so the threading doesn’t start to rust during transportation.
Each reel of steel wire rope must be tested by tensile testing machine
